How to Determine the Internet Scams from the Legitimate Opportunities
58Scams versus Legitimate Online Opportunities
Advice on Internet Scams:
I think it might be safe to say many of us have been scammed on the internet some time or another in the past. It is very hard to distinguish the scams from the real opportunities. The scams also make us cautious of any opportunity on the internet.
There are ways of checking internet sites online to get a good idea if they are legitimate or not. One way is to check the contact information of the site. If there is no contact information with a legitimate email address, location address and phone number, beware of it.Their support should be quick and satisfactory. If a company is legitimate it should have no problem providing contact information to their members or customers.
You can check with the authorities to find out if there have been any complaints about the company in question. There are other methods of checking websites out online and if anyone has the name of these sites it would be appreciated and can be very helpful to others as well. You can Google a site and get some information about them. But there are also other sources for doing research about a website.
It has been said that "if it sounds too good to be true" it usually is and that is right. But once in a while there is an opportunity out there that is a good, legitimate one and has a lot to offer it's members. Some of these opps are often categorized in the bad list because maybe one or two members got discusted and decided to spread a lot of rumors about the opp and before you know it the opp is shut down. At other times there are problems getting a business up and going online because of DDOS attacks and problems within the company because of employees stealing from the company, etc. and again the company folds. Once in a while an opportunity comes along and it survives these obstacles and is back in business. It is good to see that some business owners are persistent and caring enough to not give up.
If the business is a true business and acts within the laws of the countries involved, it is possible to work online and make a living at it. If they are legitimate they should have nothing to hide. Scams come and go but the legitimate companies endure.

Nice concise article on how to wade through all of the junk out there on the internet. Those of us who have been here awhile learned from experience. As my dad always tells me "How did you get such good judgement? From experience. And how did you get so much experience? From bad judgement." I believe those are words to live by, but we all must have our share of bad judgement in order to get good judgement. Thanks for shortening the learning curve, that is always appreciated :-)
